ACADEMICS

Academics
Our courses are centered around developing the key skills needed to live and study abroad. The focus of these is to teach the most vital skill: how to think in English. Based on this premise we have crafted a dedicated course of study designed to help students achieve their full potential.
Schedule
The school schedule is very intense for the students. They have 8 classes every day from Monday to Saturday! In addition, they have night study classes and gym class. They're very busy, but the intese work is meant to help them develop skills which they will use to be highly successful throughout their academic careers.
GAC Program
Our academics utilize the internationally successful Global Academic Certificate (GAC) program, where students produce subject - specific coursework, both guided and independently moderated, in English. The GAC has established centers located all over the world, and its fast pace and intensive, interactive style forces students to not only learn, but also to think in English. More information here.
The students have three semesters of GAC work which, along with their English level, is constantly moderated, to guarantee the best possible results a student can achieve. The addition of GAC training includes Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, Study Skills, Math, Computers, Communication Skills, Science, and Business courses. This covers a wide range of necessary skills and ensures diversity in their education, and eventual university application.
HSC / IELTS
The GAC program is complemented by additional HSC (High School Curriculum) classes which build on the skills developed GAC program and are specifically chosen to ensure students have enough background knowledge and experience to be successful abroad. These classes offer an opportunity for deeper understanding in classes designed to integrate CCSS (common core state standards) curriculum. These include; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, Writing, Reading, Speaking, Drama, US History, World History, and Government.
IELTS classes are taught in addition to increase Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading fluency. Students go from an average band score of 4 to between 6.5 and 7, which is more than sufficient to get into most major universities.
We also prepare students to take the ACT and GED tests, which are tests that students in the USA use to apply to universities. These classes are taught throughout the semester before they apply to university, but the theme of our courses is that students use their collective knowledge base builds upon itself, so that students can feel like they can solve future problems using knnowledge and skills gained in the present.
The Future
We can't predict where our students will be in 20 years, so our goal is to prepare them to learn independently. The accomplishments achieved and ability and ambition created will help our students as they travel from our schools to Universities in the USA. it is not only academic success here that we offer.
We prepare you for college!
